ECS' strength has been the ability to coordinate resources and provide the most effective response to any environmental emergency situation. We have also established close working relationships with several contractors and consultants throughout the Northeast and Florida and have state-approved lists in our databases that allow us to dispatch local contractors and/or consultants throughout the United States .
While the success of any ER incident is clearly linked to rapid response, ECS also focuses on achieving rapid closure concerning state and federal regulatory requirements. Each ER team member is trained in diagnosing ER incidents, conducting basic containment and recovery actions, environmental monitoring sampling and cost control. ECS understands the prerequisites of ER, site assessment and remediation. This knowledge is fundamental to closing sites in a timely and cost effective manner. Knowing what it takes to close out a release site greatly reduces the upfront ER costs.
Like any environmental company, ECS can not be everywhere at all times. Delays in spill response can potentially turn “small incidents” into unnecessary long-term assessment and cleanup ventures. ECS offers a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week Emergency Response Hotline service that quickly and effectively puts a caller in touch with an ECS ER manager.
Our senior staff members, acting as Emergency Response Coordinators, have incident logs, state and federal notification information, and state-specific consultant and contractor contact information at their fingertips at all times. |
