 Mr. Hellstein is an environmental scientist with more than 30 years of direct experience. He is the founder of Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. Over the past two decades, he has been responsible for establishing environmental audit programs for industrial clients, performing and managing initial site and remedial investigations, developing industrial RCRA contingency plans, and performing and managing emergency response and remedial measures. Mr. Hellstein also established standard operating procedures and protocols for sampling and field observations for the company. Mr. Hellstein specializes in providing sound advice pertaining to a broad range of environmental issues, including site assessment and RCRA compliance. |

Additionally, he formulates corporate strategy and long-range business planning, and manages corporate marketing, sales, growth,
and new market development. |

Mr. Sheehan has more than 26 years of experience in providing technical expertise and regulatory insight for clients regulated by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). He played a major role in establishing what is now the Bureau of Waste Site Clean-Up group in the Western Regional Office of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. He was also involved in the writing of the original MCP that was promulgated in 1988. Mr. Sheehan has managed hundreds of projects ranging from property transfer site assessments to hydrogeological assessments of large industrial facilities. |

Additionally, he provides technical guidance and mentoring for ECS staff, guidance on corporate strategy, and oversees corporate major account relationships. |

Mr. Haynes has more than 17 years of direct experience in the environmental field. He has been involved with the inspection, testing, design, remediation, and closure of several hundred releases or potential releases to the environment at sites throughout the Northeast. He has managed personnel providing consulting services related to asbestos, lead paint, indoor air quality, and site investigations involving a multitude of contaminants to soil and water for the past ten years. Mr. Haynes is ECS’ President and Corporate Operating Officer and is also involved with corporate business planning, strategy, and oversight of day to day operations. |

Furthermore, he teaches lead, asbestos, and hazardous waste operations and emergency response courses through ECS’ Health and Safety Training Division.
Mr. Haynes is a faculty member of the Environmental Sciences Program at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and teaches a night course, Principles of Environmental Site Assessment. |

While working as an environmental technician on a major petroleum account for a competitor, Doug found himself drawn to the entrepreneurial spirit of ECS and made the move in April 1999. He went to work at ECS’ Brattleboro, Vermont office, which at the time was a rambling red barn situated on acres of farmland. As a project manager, Doug focused on site assessment and brownfield redevelopment services for municipalities, private developers and community development corporations.
Doug transferred to ECS’ headquarters in Agawam, Massachusetts in early 2000 and took on the responsibility of managing the company’s site assessment group. That same year, with the assistance of ECS, he completed his Masters of Business Administration degree. |

Upon his return from a two-month sabbatical hiking along the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Massachusetts, Doug began managing ECS’ accounting department and became Controller and Business Manager. The company was growing quickly at the time, and Doug’s shrewd business planning was a key factor in ECS acquiring another environmental firm in late 2002. Doug’s financial leadership over the next few years led to him becoming ECS’ Chief Financial Officer in January 2008. He continues to manage the company’s accounting group and is also the ESOP trustee on the Board of Directors. |

Mike joined ECS in 1989 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and was tasked with developing financial systems and reporting mechanisms for a business that was still getting off the ground at the time. “When I came in 1989,” Mike says, “we only had two computers, and people had to take turns writing their field reports.”
As the company began to grow, Mike took on the responsibilities of managing ECS' banking, insurance and human resource functions. When the building that now serves as corporate headquarters was constructed in 1990, he obtained the financing and oversaw all aspects of the development. For the next 17 years, Mike's financial direction and expertise led to the start-up of 11 branch offices and the acquisition of a handful of small businesses. |

In late 2007, as part of a senior management transition plan and in conjunction with the implementation of ECS' Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), Mike relinquished the title of CFO to Doug McVey . Mike continues to serve as ECS' Treasurer and in that capacity oversees the company's financing and insurance relationships. He is also a member of the Board of Directors.
