ECS announces Susan O'Brien, LSP and Amanda St. Mary have joined our Woburn, MA office.
Susan is a Senior Project Manager with 15 years of experience. She is responsible for a variety of Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remedial services, and facility compliance projects. Her experience includes the preparation of regulatory documents including Massachusetts Contingency Plan submittals; Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. She is well versed in underground storage tank closures, has extensive experience preparing Method 1 and Method 3 human health and environmental risk assessment documents, and has designed and implemented numerous remedial systems. Susan earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tufts University. She is a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP).
Amanda is a Field Technician Intern currently studying for a B.S. degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Geology at Northeastern University. She is responsible for providing field research and support in conjunction with ESAs and remedial services. Her work includes performing site inspections, background research, water and soil sampling, and soil gas surveys. She also assists in the performance of remedial pilot tests, monitoring of remedial operations, and installation and maintenance of remedial components. Amanda anticipates graduating from Northeastern in May 2013, and she recently returned from a study abroad program at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
